Why we call it an exam
A good doctor doesn’t prescribe before examining. Neither do we.
Ordinary tutoring answers every difficulty with the same line: “just study more.” It’s like a pharmacy that sells one medicine for every symptom. The Diagnostic follows the path of a good clinic — first the exam, then the precise diagnosis, then the right treatment for that student, and only that student.

About the numbers in the report
The report has numbers — like any good exam. And there’s no reason to be alarmed by them.
You don’t need to decode every number, just as you don’t decode every line of a blood panel: that’s what the person who reads the exam is for. What matters to you is what they reveal. And the highest number isn’t bad news — it’s precisely the error most worth fixing first, the one that returns the most points for the least effort. That’s where treatment begins. The numbers aren’t a grade on your child; they’re what makes the plan precise.

Student X looked like they’d “just had a bad day.” The exam told another story.
Strong precisely where most are weak: 84% in probability, 88% in advanced scoring. But they lost points to a single silent pattern — got the calculation right and slipped on the last step. It wasn’t a content gap. A verification step was missing — one other students already do on autopilot.
The report named five error patterns, put them in priority order, marked the critical areas on the Domain Map, and gave the parents a concrete understanding of what was happening. Naming is what makes each pattern treatable: it stops being “my child is bad at math” and becomes a specific target. The line that summed up the read:
“Student X trusts intuition where the SAT demands a check.”
The parents left the meeting knowing, concretely, what the bottleneck was, in what order to treat it, and what was their child’s own asset to protect. The decision about next steps became informed — no longer a guess about “studying more math.”

Who signs the report
The same diagnostic rigor used in hospitals — now applied to learning.
The method was born in the clinical engineering and academic research of Robert At Ramiarina, M.Sc. in Biomedical Engineering from COPPE/UFRJ. The same engineering that classified clinical states to forecast hospital resources now reads, with precision, where a student’s reasoning fails. And it was that engineering that built the practice-test platform — capable of recording, under the Bluebook interface, reasoning data no commercial simulator captures. Applied to STEM preparation since 2014.
